Concert venue:  Christ Church Cathedral, 420 Sparks St. (near Bronson Ave.)

Our spring concert features music for spring, with a noticeable bird theme! Mozart's "Spatzenmesse" (Sparrow Mass) along with "Hear My Prayer" by Mendelssohn will be featured in the first half. The second half will be a selection of madrigals and songs from Handel, Brahms and Stanford, to name a few...and of course, Byrd. Featuring interim director, Stephen Candow.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students, available in advance from choir members, Compact Music (Bank and Glebe locations), The Leading Note, Book Bazaar, and the Cathedral Box Office

The concert will include a post-concert reception.

SINGERS ARE INVITED TO AUDITION

Musica Viva Singers performs an eclectic mix of classical and modern works before large enthusiastic audiences.  Our 2006 Christmas concert, for example, had an audience of over 400.

Our rehearsals are Monday evenings in the church hall of St. Barnabas, James St. at Kent.  Our concerts are at Christ Church Cathedral, Sparks Street near Bronson.

We currently have several openings in our Alto, Tenor and Bass sections.  If you are interested in joining a vibrant 4-part adult community choir, please click on the “We are currently recruiting new members” link below.
